Xanthelasma

What is Xanthelasma? 

Xanthelasma are small yellow patches around the eyelids. They are made up of cholesterol under the skin. Xanthelasma are harmless but they can be a sign of high levels of cholesterol or other fats in your blood.

If you have Xanthelasma, you should talk to your primary care provider to have your cholesterol levels checked with a blood test.
